Outreach at Rockwell Collins Open House
At the Rockwell Collins outreach, we were assigned to a large conference room where we set up two courses that were designed for smaller 3D printed robots. Thanks to Cathy from ORTOP for allowing us to use these robots at the event. These robots consisted of a simple wheel and omni-wheel drivetrain which was easy to control for the people attending.
We had lines that were quite long, and most of the children took their time to enjoy driving the robot. We even had a few people compete for the fastest time possible, and that record was broken at 12 seconds. Overall, it was a fun experience with both the kids and adults around the area.
We partnered up with FTC Team Nano-Ninjas and FTC Team Bytes of Kit Kat for this event.
