Oregon State Championship

#1 Inspire and Finalist Winning Alliance Captain

Finally, the Oregon State Championship has come and gone! Being the last competition in Oregon, this tournament sent 13 teams to the West Super Regional to represent Oregon and compete for a spot at the World Championship in Houston.

We had a blast competing with the 48 best robots in Oregon, meeting many old friends and making some new ones. Despite the fierce competition, we managed to end up as the #1 ranked team in the Tech Division, going undefeated in qualification rounds. Partnering with #7776 Loose Screws and #9529 Fig Neutrons, we made our way to the top of our division and put up a tight fight against the Timber Division champions in a 3-match battle, ending as the Event Finalist Alliance.

Furthermore, we were awarded the Oregon Championship Inspire Award, an honor we’d never received prior, sending us to the West Super Regional in Tacoma along with 12 other magnificent teams. Looking forward, we’ll be rapidly improving our robot in preparation for the tournament. We’re looking forward to meeting all the teams there! Catch us from March 10-12 at the Tacoma Convention Center!

Our first ever Oregon Championship Inspire Award!

Congrats also to Neha Nagabothu and Gokul Kolady who were part of 22 Deans List Semi-Finalists at the event and to Gokul who was picked as one of four Finalists.

Congratulations to Margaux Mae Quady #8372, Gokul Kolady #7013, Elizabeth Bailey #8176 and Tyler Walker, #4097 named as FIRST Tech Challenge Oregon Dean’s List Finalists.
